Corizon wins Lane County, Oregon, contract for inmate healthcare services
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., (May 22, 2012) — Corizon, the nation’s leader in correctional healthcare solutions, announced that it has been awarded the contract for healthcare services in Lane County, Ore., effective July 1, 2012.
The 500-bed Lane County Adult Corrections facility has historically overseen its own healthcare services, but in light of rising healthcare costs, opted to publish an RFI in 2010 to assess the value of privatizing those services. After completing the RFI and RFP process, which included receiving strong recommendations from existing Corizon clients in nearby Washington and Clackamas Counties, Lane County selected Corizon as the winning healthcare service provider.
