Dr. Peter Lee named May Diplomat of the Month by AMCP

Dr. Peter Lee named May Diplomat of the Month by AMCPDr. Peter Lee, VP of Clinical Pharmacy for PharmaCorr, is the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Diplomat of the Month for May. Dr. Lee serves as an AMCP Diplomat for Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a Co-Diplomat for the University of Oklahoma.

In his Q&A, featured on the AMCP website, Peter talks about how and why he became involved in AMCP, citing his two AMCP/Managed Care summer internships for helping him to understand the role of a managed care pharmacist. He also credits having great mentors, praising their dedication, focus and “seamless ability to merge clinical, policy and business together to manage population health.”

When asked if he had any words of advice, Peter simply stated, “Be pre-qualified for your future dream job.” He then goes on to lay down four ways of doing just that, including identifying required qualifications and experience for a job position and strategizing ways to obtain those qualifications and experiences while in school, during one’s current employment, through volunteering and getting additional informal or formal training.
