Essex County Juvenile goes live with new electronic health record system

The Essex County Juvenile Detention Center, a Corizon Health client partner since 1996, went live in October with eOMIS, its electronic health record (EHR) system.

In preparation, the staff underwent a week of intensive training, new computers were installed and new terminologies learned. They are now much enthused about utilizing the new EHR system, which is anticipated to reduce long charting hours and enhance the performance of medical duties. Our dedicated staff will no longer spend countless hours manually logging progress notes or searching for physical patient charts. File storage and retention will be an added bonus of the new system.

With the introduction of the new eOMIS EHR system, Corizon Health can more efficiently continue with our promise to provide quality healthcare which will ultimately improve the communities where we all live and work.
