The National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) in October held its annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Corizon Health was both a corporate sponsor and sponsor of the 25th Anniversary Reception commemorating a quarter of a century of NCCHC’s Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) certification program. Several members of Corizon Health’s leadership team, along with staff from sites across the country, were present at this event, including Area Vice President of Operations Ralf Salke and Senior Vice President of Nursing Becky Pinney.

We were also well-represented in the workshop arena, conducting or participating in more educational sessions than any other comprehensive correctional healthcare provider:

  • “What Leaders Know: Become More Patient-Centered by Leveraging Your Electronic Health Record” by
Vice President of Customer Solutions Jessica Lee, MSN, RN, CCHP
  • “Outbreak! Are You Ready?” by Corizon Health Provider Melissa Avery, MD, along with Sue Lane and
    Sandra Tilton
  • “Preparing Your Facility for the Physician Surveyor” by Corizon Health Provider Bertram Hurowitz, MD, CCHP-P, CCHP-A
  • “Improving Collaboration Between Health Staff and Correctional Officers” by Vice President of Operations Mark Fleming, Ph.D., CCHP-MH
  • “Correlation Between PTSD and Criminogenic Thinking in Veterans” by Vice President of Operations Mark Fleming, Ph.D., CCHP-MH
  • “Help for Your ‘Help Wanted’ Challenges” by Vice President of Customer Solutions Jessica Lee, MSN, RN, CCHP
  • “Positive Outcomes Are Possible With a Successful Chronic Care Process” by Senior Vice President of Behavioral Health Operations Mariann Burnetti-Atwell, Psy.D., CCHP and Regional Director of Nursing Tara Taylor, BSN, RN, CCHP

Thank you to all of our thought leaders for their excellent representation of Corizon Health.
