First “Core Process” training conducted in Philadelphia

The first eight-hour training for “Core Process-Intake” was conducted mid-September in Philadelphia. Twenty-six staff members, including RNs, Administrators and Site Medical Directors, attended the training, which included lectures on each of Corizon Health’s 13 intake  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as group activities and mock chart audits.

Attendees reported the training was “extremely helpful,” and initial concerns about the eight-hour training day were alleviated by group activities that broke up the day and allowed lots of interactions between trainees and teammates. A survey conducted at the end of the training gave the session an overall score of 4.5 out of 5.

Our clinical leaders working with our colleagues in Training and Organizational Development will continue to build upon and improve our Core Process training in an effort to fulfill Corizon Health’s mission of providing “safe, effective and efficient healthcare services” for our patients.
