Three Corizon Health Nurses at Tipton Correctional Center (TCC) in Missouri have received letters of commendation following a medical emergency at the facility involving a staff member in the Food Service unit. When LPNs Erin Kreisel, Dawn Maynard and Carrie Headley, along with RN Hanna Wingate became aware of their coworker’s distress, they immediately responded to the scene and began rendering emergency medical care and attention. Their quick thinking and rapid action, in all likelihood, played a key role in saving their teammate’s life.

The commendation letters, according to Warden Douglas Prudden, are a “humble token of the tremendous gratitude and appreciation” for our nurses’ “heroic actions.” Warden Prudden goes on to say, “You represent the finest we have among us and I am proud to be able to work with you.”
