Corizon Health social worker assists in locating missing daughter of inmate patient

Social Worker Jennifer Seminara

When Social Worker Jennifer Seminara of Somerset County Jail in Somerville, New Jersey learned that the teenage daughter of an inmate had gone missing, she went into action to help locate the missing girl. The inmate, who had been informed by her family that her daughter was missing, had been given a picture of her daughter being hugged by a man with a gun. Jennifer first checked for an Amber Alert, and upon finding none contacted the Manville Police Station in Manville, New Jersey.

After giving all of the information to the police, Jennifer waited for news of the teen’s location. About an hour after she was informed of the missing girl, Jennifer was notified that the girl had been found by Belmar Police, about an hour away. The man in the photo was not identified.

We are grateful for team members like Jennifer, who go out of their way to assist one of their inmate patients—a true testament to the Corizon Health spirit of excellence.
