American Correctional Association holds winter conference in New Orleans

Dr. Mark Simpson (L) and Dr. Mark Fleming (R)

From January 22-27, correctional industry professionals from across the country met in New Orleans for the American Correctional Association (ACA) Winter Conference. Such industry conferences are a great way to make contacts and network with industry peers, see what new technologies are on the horizon and listen to industry leaders present on various topics based on their level of importance to you.

Corizon Health’s own Dr. Mark Fleming, Director of Behavioral Health, co-presented on “Mental Health and Security: Bridging the Cultural Divide,” with Dr. Mark Simpson, Director of Behavioral Health Services for the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC). Dr. Fleming is a frequent presenter at both ACA and National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) conferences, and we are grateful for his consistently excellent representation of Corizon Health.

At the Corizon Health booth in the exhibit hall, a prize drawing for a $100 Visa gift card was held. Congratulations to Sheriff John Whetsel of Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on winning the prize!
