Corizon Health donates surplus of useful items to Tennessee charities

Corizon Health team members delivered practical items to several local non-profits.

Recently, Corizon Health was able to donate a surplus of practical items such as backpacks and blankets to four local charities in the Nashville, Tennessee area. These items were distributed through Franktown Open Hearts, Mercy Community Healthcare, Nashville Rescue Mission and Open Table Nashville.

Franktown Open Hearts

The non-profit Franktown Open Hearts, located in Franklin, provides mentoring, tutoring, recreation and spiritual growth opportunities to children residing in low-income neighborhoods. With a number of partner churches and volunteers, activities are held four nights a week and on Sundays, and provide both meals and transportation.

Mercy Community Healthcare

Mercy Community Healthcare provides quality, compassionate healthcare to both the insured and uninsured in the Nashville area. Their main focus is pediatrics and adult primary care, but they also offer integrated mental and behavioral health services. They currently provide care for more than 10,000 patients.

Nashville Rescue Mission

The Nashville Rescue Mission opened its doors in 1954 to provide food, clothing and shelter to homeless men in the Nashville community. In 1968, the Mission expanded to also meet the needs of the increasing numbers of homeless women and children in the community. Nashville Rescue Mission seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing, and shelter to the homeless, as well as recovery programs.

Open Table Nashville

Open Table Nashville is a non-profit community striving to disrupt the cycle of poverty and provide education about issues of homelessness. Their main goal is assisting individuals in navigating the complex social services system so they are able to obtain needed resources like IDs, birth certificates, social security cards, food stamps, transportation, clothing, camping supplies, mental and physical healthcare, employment, substance abuse treatment, counseling, transitional and permanent housing, and referrals to other programs.

Corizon Health is proud to partner with these great Tennessee-based charities.
