Team members serve the community by volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank

Team Members Serve the Community by Volunteering at Second HarvestOn Friday, March 13, fifteen team members from the Brentwood (TN) office volunteered their time by lending a hand at Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville. Second Harvest was founded in 1978 to help solve hunger issues in Middle and West Tennessee. They currently have a network of over 450 “Partner Agencies” working together to feed the hungry men, women and children throughout their service area. These partner agencies consist of food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, foster care facilities, senior centers, group homes and youth enrichment programs.

Corizon Health team members spent their time sorting, inspecting and packaging more than 8,000 pounds of food donations—enough food to make 6,706 meals serving 450 partner agencies in 46 Tennessee counties. That is some outstanding volunteering!
