Henderson Detention Center staff thanked for kindness in letter from inmate patientA Nevada Corizon Nurse, Christine Woolman, along with Corrections Officer (CO) Julio Machado, received thanks from an inmate patient for their kindness and consistency, in a letter sent to the Henderson Police Department. Nurse Woolman and CO Machado both work at the Henderson Detention Center. The letter states that Nurse Woolman, upon noticing that the inmate looked ill, “went out of her way” to make sure he was feeling okay. The inmate further states that he was “just tired, but the kindness that she displays day after day is rare and something that I personally admire and am very thankful for.”

The inmate also offered thanks to CO Machado for being a “very good, fair man—consistent, strong and someone every man in HDC should aspire to be like and look up to.” He goes on to say, “Both of these people have inspired me to become a better man—not through words but the actions they display every day they work.”

Kudos to Nurse Woolman and CO Machado for exemplifying the values of both the Henderson Detention Center and Corizon Health!
