Back in April, several members of the Corizon team in Florida participated in the statewide Law Enforcement Torch Run, supporting Special Olympics Florida. Micki Streeter and Rhonda Almanza joined on behalf of the Reception and Medical Center (RMC) in Union County. Meghan Clark, Lisa Goodwin and Amber McDowell ran on behalf of Apalachee and Jackson Correctional Institutions in Jackson County.

The nurses offered their support in honor of fellow Apalachee employee Harold Parker, whose daughter, Gabriella, is set to compete at the state level of the Florida Special Olympics competition. We wish Gabriella good luck!

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is a distance run/walk that extends through 300 Florida law enforcement agencies. Each year, over 5,000 officers carry the torch on a 1,500-mile relay through 67 counties in Florida.
