Brentwood and St. Louis Offices Reach Out to Their Local Communities

Volunteers from Brentwood (top) and St. Louis (bottom)

The St. Louis office recently sent some generous volunteers to work with Food Outreach. Founded in 1988, Food Outreach is the only St. Louis non-profit organization with a mission to provide  nutritional support and enhance the quality of life for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer in the area.

By 2012, Food Outreach had provided a record-setting more than a half-million meals to those in need. Their menus are designed to provide healthy meal options, and individual counseling and nutrition education are available to all clients.

Also getting in on some community volunteerism, 13 volunteers – a record number for a one-time visit – from the Brentwood office made their way not long ago to the Nashville Rescue Mission to help serve lunch to homeless men in the Middle Tennessee. This is the third opportunity that Corizon has had to volunteer with this organization, and they are always glad to welcome us back! The Nashville Rescue Mission is dedicated to helping the hungry, homeless and hurting through striving to restore hope and transform lives, and these team members were proud to bring their positive energy and smiling faces to serve those in need for the afternoon.
