Several staff members from Moberly Correctional Center (MO), a Corizon facility, recently attended a healthy woman dinner and presentation by Elizabeth Smart. You may remember the Elizabeth Smart name from one of the most publicized and well-known child abduction cases of our time.

Elizabeth presented, and shared insight, into overcoming adversity in a traumatic situation. Employees, who were thrilled to meet and talk with Elizabeth, said her story was heart wrenching, but also eye-opening and inspiring.

The dinner and program were held at the Moberly Area Community College and staff members went as representatives of Corizon. With over 800 attendees, this was a great way to get out and support an area event and participate as a community partner.

Corizon’s mission is to be the world’s foremost provider of correctional healthcare. But along the way, we want to be effective and impactful members of the communities we call home. It starts with our employees. Their compassionate hearts find numerous ways to contribute to a number of programs, charities and other initiatives.
