Idaho Correctional Institute/Orofino employees participate in 60 mile, 3-day event

L-R: Lt. Brenda Layne, DW Noel Barlow, Warden Carlin, Linda Gehrke and Charlene Brewer

Staff at the Idaho Correctional Institute – Orofino, a Corizon facility, participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day event to erase breast cancer.  The fundraising event covered 60 miles in three days.

Linda Gehrke was the first to join and recruited several other ICI-O employees (DW Barlow and Lt. Layne), as well as her daughter, to participate along with her.  The Warden at the facility has supported an “anything she can do to help” attitude to help the team raise money.

The team hosted a “Bustin Out” lunch for employees consisting of chili dogs, chips and a drink for a small donation of $5.00 per meal.

Corizon’s mission is to be the world’s foremost provider of correctional healthcare. But along the way, we want to be effective and impactful members of the communities we call home. It starts with our employees. Their compassionate hearts find numerous ways to contribute to a number of programs, charities and other initiatives.

Great job ladies for supporting the fight to end breast cancer forever.
