SCI Forest raises funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

SCI Employees with the Steelers basket

The staff at SCI Forest (Pennsylvania), a Corizon facility, recently took time to host a basket raffle to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Even with the short notice of the fundraiser, the staff was able to raise over $1,100 for the hospital. Tickets were available for purchase for $1 each for a chance to win one of five themed baskets. Everything from a lottery basket, to an Italian-themed or Hershey’s and a Steelers basket were up for grabs! St. Jude Children’s Hospital has a mission to aid in pediatric diseases through research and treatment, and no child is ever denied treatment based on a family’s ability to pay. Way to go, SCI Forest! We know St. Jude is thankful, and as a chosen national charity for Team Corizon events, St. Jude can expect to see more from Corizon!

Corizon’s mission is to be the world’s foremost provider of correctional healthcare and along the way, we want to be effective and impactful members of the communities we call home. It starts with our employees. Their compassionate hearts find numerous ways to contribute to a number of programs, charities and other initiatives.

Whether it’s donations to local civic groups, running in local marathons or campaigns to raise money and awareness for international cancer research organizations, our employees show they care through a variety of outreach efforts. Our job is to provide care. And we don’t limit that to correctional healthcare. We care about our employees, our families and our communities.
