Corizon earns NCCHC honors for third year in a row

The Corizon Clinical Program has a system in-place that has enabled us to achieve a 100% success rate in obtaining accreditation in every facility where accreditation is required. This dedication to providing extensive resources to our inmate correctional facilities before the actual audit has resulted in a 100% success rate in achieving and maintaining accreditation.

The NCCHC also recognizes excellence in other areas. In June of this year, the Wyoming Department of Corrections was notified by the NCCHC that our inmate weight loss program at its Honor Conservation Camp site had been selected as Program of the Year. The award was presented at the NCCHC conference in Baltimore, Maryland, in October 2011. This is the third NCCHC Award for a Corizon Healthcare correctional site in three years. Our Special Needs Unit at the Washington County (OR) Jail received the Program of the Year Award in 2009 and Tipton Correctional Center, part of our Missouri Department of Corrections contract, was named Facility of the Year in 2010.
